Who is responsible
The Everyday McKenzie Friend is responsible for personal information collected through this website and direct enquiries. Privacy questions can be sent to everydaymckenziefriend@gmail.com.
What information may be collected
This static website does not use a contact form, advertising trackers or analytics. If you email or book a consultation, information may include your name, contact details, appointment information and the information you choose to share about your enquiry.
The booking service is provided by Google. Information entered there is handled under Google’s applicable privacy terms as well as being made available for managing the appointment.
Why information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, arrange consultations, assess whether requested support is within scope, provide agreed services, keep appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. Depending on the context, the lawful basis may be taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, performing an agreement, legitimate interests in running and protecting the service, or legal obligations.
Sensitive information
Family proceedings can involve information about children, health, finances, allegations and court cases. Please do not send sensitive documents or detailed case information in an initial email. If support is agreed, only information reasonably necessary for that work should be shared, using an agreed method.
Sharing
Personal information is not sold. It may be processed by necessary service providers such as email, calendar or secure storage providers, or disclosed where required by law, safeguarding duties or a lawful court or regulatory requirement. Information will not be shared with the other party in your case merely because you make an enquiry.
Retention and security
Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information. Enquiries and working records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the stated purposes, legal obligations and the handling of any dispute, then securely deleted or anonymised. No internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your personal information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
External links
This site links to Google Calendar, GOV.UK and other external pages. Those services control their own privacy practices. Check their notices before providing information.
Changes
This notice may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The review date above will be updated when that happens.
